SIZING

I measure every item so that you can feel confident in your purchase. All items descriptions incude tag size (if available) as well as my personal measurements.

WASH & PREP

Items are washed on a delicate cycle with hypoallergenic ECOS detergent and dried on delicate or air dried. For items that should not be machine washed, they are steamed cleaned or handwashed appropiately. I do my best to stain treat items with stains. Item listings contain descriptions and photos of flaws I am unable to treat. 

Before being packaged, all items are either ironed or steamed (depending on what's best for the piece). Although an item will not likely arrived perfectly wrinkle-free, it is important to me that you know each item is handled with love and care. 

I want people to rethink the idea that thrift store clothing is gross or dirty. Therefore, it is a value of mine to wash and prepare all items as much as possible so that when they arrive to you they are ready to wear right out of the package!


SUSTAINABILITY

I do my best to think and act sustainably about all of the decisions I make with Backstory Resale. I ship in recycleable polymailers and from time to time I may ship in recycled boxes or other recycled packaging. I love cute packaging but not more than sustainability. This is one of the main reasons I focus on sourcing quality brands and vintage pieces that were made to withstand the test of time.
