Backstory Resale is named from the sweet notion that each piece of secondhand clothing has it's own little backstory to it. By purchasing an item from us, you add another chapter to the items' life. Enriching the fabric with more memories and moments, more heart and soul, more...backstory! 

Hi, I'm Hafsia. I have been thrifting for as long as I can remember, it's very much part of who I am and how I think. For most things my approach is-can I make this or can I thrift this? 

While I was pregnant I naturally turned to thrifting for nearly everything we needed (because WOW, new baby stuff is pricey!). In those early newborn days, as I was nap trapped, I realized I really wanted to make a business out of my love of thrifting and eye for fun style all while doing something that allowed me to support and spend time with my family. Not to mention, find quality and unique pieces for parents at a fraction of their retail cost. And alas, Backstory Resale was born. 

                                                                                             

We've probably all heard how terrible fast fashion is so I won't hash it out too much here, but I believe that we really can all do better when it comes to not adding more waste to landfills. Thrifting is for everyone, but not everyone has the time to do it...so let me do it for you! I passionately believe that there is no such thing as 'girl' or 'boy' clothes. I believe that all children deserve to express themselves however they want, and that all kids deserve colors and fun patterns! This belief plays a big part in how I source pieces for the shop. I primarily source high quality brands and vintage and I lean towards choosing pieces with bold and bright colors and patterns, but also love a solid, well made basic as well.
